Nutshell X60s case

#3 Post by btorbik » Mon Jan 08, 2007 8:18 pm

Bill:

My answer is a qualified "YES", it will support an X60s tablet. I make the claim based on the fact that my X60s (non-tablet) with an extended battery fits snugly into the case with and will zipper up all the way. The specs for the tablet and non-tablet appear to me to be the same.

I am selling it because my employer provided me with a Waterfield sleeve, which I've found more practical for carrying the X60s in my backpack or on a plane. That said, I would still have ordered the Nutshell case if the Waterfield hadn't been provided.

from looking at the web site its a very nice case..

but i have so many carry cases now i can't use them all..
3 waterfield, a leather transnote case that works perfectly with the T60p and misc. other carry cases..

$100 is a bit more than i want to spend for yet another case, no matter how nice, right now..

if you decide to lower the price, let me know..
meanwhile, what are the exace measurements..?
i.e. does the X60s fit snugly or is there space..
i ask because comparing the X60s to the X60 tablet the tablet is about 1 inch longer and maybe 3/16 inches wider..

X60s dimensions and suggestion

#5 Post by btorbik » Thu Jan 11, 2007 9:47 am

The X60s with the extended, 8-hr battery measures as follows:

10.5" wide x 9.3" deep x 0.8" high - 1.1" high (front and back).

It fits into the case snugly, but it doesn't require any tugging or pulling to get it to close.

I'm curious as to the 3 Waterfield sleeves that you have. If you aren't using all of them, would you consider trading one of them? If so, I'd like to know what model(s) you have, as I need one for my wife's new (not my choice) Toshiba Satellite. Let me know and thanks.
