Worth trying to enable AHCI mode?

#1 Post by rkuo » Sat Jan 06, 2007 7:39 pm

I just installed the Toshiba 200GB SATA drive but in the BIOS the SATA mode is set to compatibility. Is it worth trying to switch to AHCI mode so that I can get the NCQ support, etc? Or will the difference be negligible?

Less than negligible -- virtually unmeasurable -- under Windows XP. Results may differ under other operating systems.
