help with S-video please

ok, I just reloaded the laptop with winxp sp2 and well Im tryin to watch some movies on my tv but I can't get the fn+f7 key to work, it doesnt go to the 320xXXX resloustion to watch movies, I can go to display properties and turn on tv, but it shows up at 1024x768 on the tv and thats not right... anybody help?

Go to www.tpdrivers.com and download/reinstall the Presentation Director.

I love that little utility and wish other laptops had it as well.

I don't see S-Video an an option for output when run Presentation Director?

Make sure that in Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Displays you have the TV turned on. Also select the TV as your main display (the movie will only play on one of the displays at a time - you will see everything else on both displays.

Then, in Presentation Director (Fn+F7), choose the "XGA: Thinkpad & Analog external" profile. Works like a charm. ;)

Hi-
On a different but similiar note, is there any way to pipe the video out to a TV from my Dell Dimension 4500? It has an S Video slot but I don't know how to get it to switch to that. Will the presentation director work on the dell desktop? I would try it right now but I don't have access to it at the moment and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. Thanks for your help and I'm sorry about the slightly different topic.
