It should work on any of the T40, T41, T42, or T43's. However, if it is not an IBM branded card (it should have an FRU number on it) you will not be able to boot up your laptop unless you perform the 1802 hack. It is possible you may need to update the BIOS. On the T40, T41, and T42 you need BIOS version 1RETB7WW (3.00) or later.
