Client Security Solution deinstallation

#1 Post by omfk » Tue Jan 09, 2007 6:48 pm

Hello!

As I had no purpose for the offered abilities and in order to save some RAM during the system start I deinstalled CSS. However there is still a cssauth.exe process in the task manager (also checkable via msconfig) and at C:\Programme\Lenovo there is still a full Client Security Solution Ordner. The cssauth.exe has the version number 7.0.52.0 .

How do I get rid of the running process and the folder? For the first one I simply could deaktivate the corresponding entry in msconfig, but I would like to understand what went wrong.

Thanks in advance.

cssauth.exe is part of both Client Security Solution and Rescue and Recovery. If you don't want cssauth.exe to run, then you will need to uninstall both of those products.
