R40 power issue

Hey one and all. Thanks again for resolving my A31p display issue so quickly. I'm now having trouble with my R40. If I shut it down and move it, I have a hard time getting it to turn on again. I plug in the power cord and the laptop starts to make a high freq. snapping sound around the power jack. I have to move the screen a little and try the plug again. Eventually, I find the correct angle and it's fine until I need to move it again. Thanks in advance.
