T60p and mini-dock
Hi all,
I see that for the T60p you can purchase a mini-dock, which has a VGA and a DVI connector on it. Has anyone used that to connect to external monitors?
Thanks
Rob

And to round it out, the Presentation Manager has an option for using DVI and VGA to run two monitors, but the internal LCD must be disabled. I haven't tried it yet, but plan to eventually to round out the display options.

I have an Advanced Mini Dock and am using both the analog and digital outputs to my Samsung and Viewsonic flat panels. I am using the Presentation Director to configure the display "when docked" for this configuration.
What I am getting, right now, though, is some strange flicker that seems to occur every 10-15 mins. Lenovo is sending me a new docking station tomorrow, so hopefully that is the problem and not the laptop dock interface.

I don't see a great difference except that some of the settings are "grayed out" on the monitor when using the DVI connection versus the Analog input.NorthernLights wrote:Is there any improvement in using the DVI instead of the VGA?
When you use the 2 outputs, can you see difference between the 2 displays?
Best Regards.
It's hard to compare the two since one is at least 2 years old (Viewsonic) and the other is brand new (Samsung). The Samsung is sharper, but this could be a factor of newness instead of connector type.
