14" vs 15" lid

#1 Post by jbrown » Wed Jan 10, 2007 1:14 pm

I think that the 15" T60 has a lid made of CFRP and the 14" a lid made of magnesium alloy.

What is the difference in term of solidity/durability? How could it affect my decision to choose one version or the other?

thanks

You will not see any visble difference between the two (nor will you be able to tell them apart). Both are strong and sturdy, way better an any other laptop brand. This should not be a factor in your thinkpad purchase at all - the size is the bigger question (14" vs 15").

You just missed the discussion of CFRP vs Magnesium.
