newbie : T40 2374-MU3 wireless Q

#1 Post by webwesen » Wed Jan 10, 2007 2:30 pm

hello,

i got a T40 without OS and I was wondering if I had an internal wireless card (and if so - what kind).

Ubuntu live CD does not find any wireless interface...
iwconfig returns no matches. Though BIOS has an option to "disable" the wireless card. I had it "enable"-ed.

Is there a way to check if I had this internal wireless card?
Lenovo site says that *some* models came with it.

thanks in advance.

thanks!
I believe "wireless upgradeable" means there is no internal wireless card installed.

RTFM indeed

The upgrade will be easy and cheap, since the antennas are already present.
