fan control

#1 Post by Rwang » Wed Jan 10, 2007 7:17 pm

Anyway to control the fan's temperature threshold in BIOS? Right now, the fan kicks in even when the CPU temp is only 50C.

Is TPfancontrol for T40 series workable with T60? I'd rather mess with BIOS only though.

BTW, my T60p's GPU hovers around 65C when idle. A bit too high?

There's no possible way to control the fan temperature using BIOS. That's why we have TPFanControl (compatible with T60 series also). Use smart mode and tell the software at which temperature should the fan start operating at a desired level (2900rpm [1-2], 3700rpm [3-5], 4200rpm [6-7].

My T42p always have the TPFanControl service running all the time, it works like a charm.

Your 65C temp GPU idling temp is considered normal
