Replacement LCD panel (SXGA+)

#1 Post by bessel » Thu Jan 11, 2007 4:07 pm

I ruined my LCD and am planning to buy a replacement part (the LCD panel) either from Lenovo or third party. I have a few questions before I can proceed; please help:

1, among Samsung, BOE-Hydis and TMD, which is a better quality?
2, is it reliable/possible to buy LCD screens from ebay? Anyone's ever tried that?
3, any cautions should I take during the replacement of my LCD panel? I can be considered with a fair DIY capabilities - but if there is any precautions should I take, please tell me.

Thanks a lot to everyone.

www.screentek.com is the only site I've ever known to sell replacement panels. Might want to try there

As someone else in the forum mentioned, a company on ebay is selling UXGA Hydis panels marked as "new"...
