T23 Wireless Upgrade

I have a T23 that I want to upgrade to internal wireless. I have already sourced an Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG card, now I just need to add the internal antenna. I was about to purchase the parts from wireless4laptop, but they got yanked from eBay before I had a chance to complete the purchase.

The question I have is, what antennas do I need to get? What length fits best under the keyboard?

Any help would be appreciated.

Any antenna which has the appropriate connector (usually U.FL) for the card you have, at a length of about 12 to 18 inches should work. It appears from recent threads about this, that placing the antenna between the end of the battery bay and the right edge of the laptop (i.e., near where the microphone is), seems to yield good reception.

There are various styles of antennas, from simple pieces of printed circuit board without much extra mounting "ears", to ones that are way too big to fit into the confined areas of most laptops. You should be able to find several other eBay sellers with these antennas. Try the following eBay search:

antenna (wifi,802.11*) (u.fl,mini*)

Also, for reference, if you haven't already done so, search the archives here using "t23 internal antenna". Restrict the search to the T2x/T30 conference, select the "search for all terms" option and you should find several threads that have discussed this procedure.
