Presentation Director 2.55 Resolution switching issues

I just upgraded to Presentation Director 2.55 (I was on 2.40b before). I have an external DELL flat panel set up, connected to the digital port on the dock and configured as a dual-screen extended desktop setup with the built-in screen, both screens at 1600 x 1200. When I go home at night, I shut down and un-dock. When I come back in to the office, I dock, then power on and use the Fn-F7 hotkey to switch back to the dual-screen configuration. This was all sweet, until I upgraded to 2.55. Now, when I get home and power up the system, it comes up in 1024x768 mode and I have to manually switch it back to 1600 x 1200. What stinks about this, is that my icons always get re-shuffled around the desktop because of the lower res! Also, when I re-dock and switch back to my default mode (extended desktop), I can see the display "flash" momentarily back to 1024 x 768 before it snaps into 1600 x 1200 (even though it already WAS in 1600 x 1200 when I turned it on!). This is all really annoying. Today I "downgraded" back to 2.40b and this seems to have elimnated the problem. Has anyone else seen this odd behavior and is there any reason I shouldn't just stay on 2.40b? Thanks.
