Wireless card only woks on Lan, does not go to internet.

I have followed the forum discussions on wireless cards. I have a 2366-41U running XP. I installed a mini PCI card from Global Sun Technology (bought it on EBAY). The card is based on the Atheros 5121A chipset. I used the CD menioned in this forum to remove the 1802 and 01C9errors. No instructions came with the card, and the diagram on the Lenovo manual showed a different connector type, so I am not sure I connected the antenna wires correctly. The white MAIN is on the iner connector and the black AUX is on the outer connector. I have tried various drivers, currently running 5.0.0.107, which was trhe latest on the download site. I get a signal strenght of excellent and connection at 108 Gbps. I can see all of the computers on my workgroup and access mapped drives on the other computers. The problem is I cannot access the internet on most tries. ( I can access if I use the hard wired connection). Looking at the properties of the wireless connection, I can see a low ratio of receives compared to sends, sometimes as high as 8 sends for every receive. In my other wired connections and two wireless computers at home, the ratio is closer to 1 to 1. I think this low number of receives is the cause of my connectivity problem. I have used the Microsoft Wireless connection, the Access Connections client and the Atheros client at differnt times. I get the same result. About the only way I can make a wireless connection is to first go to a site via the sired connection, then after disconnecting that , I can go back to that site with the wireless connection. What response I get is very slow, and no doubt due to the high ratio of sends to receives. When I look at the Atheros client, which is the only place I have been able to find statistics, I see this after being up for a few minutes and trying to conncet to the internet: Frames Transmitted ok 477 ACK Frames 477; Frames received ok 0, Frames received with errors 74, CRC errors 135 - I also cannot connect to the internet at this point. If I connect to the local lan, There is about a 3/1 ratio of frames with errors to frames received ok. The firewall is turned off, so that is not the issue. Any ideas wht the proble might be?

It turns out the problem was a series of bad drivers. I found an old HP wireless driver and it works great now.
