FS or FT: Thinkpad T60 for Thinkpad X60 or 60s

#1 Post by tmkim80 » Sun Jan 14, 2007 4:03 pm

Purchased the T60 back in August and it is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. I just need something smaller to carry around for classes. To my understanding, the warranty is transferable. The specs for my laptop are listed below. Please pm if you are interested. Also, I would be willing to sell the laptop for $1400 plus $30 for shipping. I purchased the unit for over $2000 back in August.

Thinkpad T60 2008-B62

2.0GHz Intel Core Duo (T2500) processor
14.1-inch SXGA+ display (1400x1050 pixels)
128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
1.0GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
100GB (5400rpm)
Plays and burns CDs and DVDs
Gigabit Ethernet; Wireless (802.11b/g); Bluetooth; 56k modem
Lithium-ion battery -- up to 4.3 hours of battery life
Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2**
Ports: Three USB 2.0 ports; parallel port; infrared port; dock/port replicator port; external display port; AC adapter; RJ-11; RJ-45; audio: headphone/line-out, external microphone; two card slots
Biometric Security Fingerprint Reader
Three-Year IBM international limited warranty with Next Business Day At Home Service, plus ThinkPad Protection accidental damage return-to-depot repair service (1 year warranty on the included battery)

How much does your T60 Weigh?

I am thinking to trade my x60s (in my signature) for your T60. My X60s has the same warranty with your T60, like on-site, protection. The only problem is that you are new here. Please PM me how you want the trade happen.

The unit is 1702-68u. Originally comes with only 1G memory. I upgraded it to 2G but I will keep the second stick. So you will get the laptop with only the original stick.
currently own X61S, T42, X31, Macbook Pro Unibody i5

Update

#5 Post by tmkim80 » Fri Jan 19, 2007 6:08 pm

Sorry for the late replies.

First, I am only interested in trading for X60s and not another T series notebook. Sorry.

Second, I have read on notebookreview.com that the notebook is upgradeable to C2D.

Third, I will drop the price to 1300 dollars. I think this is reasonable considering the configuration of this thinkpad.

Thanks.

Download an run CPU-Z. In one of the tabs, it will give the system board revision number. Versions 3 and higher will run Core 2 Duo. 1 and 2 will not (HW incompatible).

This notebook has been purchased by me and I can say the unit was in perfect condition and it was a pleasure dealing with the seller.
tmkim80 has another for sale posted in this forum and I can say that he should be considered a trusted seller based on my transaction for this T60.
