first issue:
one day, something made the green battery icon next to the system tray on the taskbar go away, and when running on battery only, the litle blue battery actually inside the task tray would be there. i want the green one back.
second issue:
a few days later i decided i wanted to turn off the beep for hitting 3 keyboard keys, and also the beep for changing power state. the first thing i found here wasn't the option in power manager but the option to turn off Beep in the device manager, hidden devices. i disabled that, and suddently, the power manager started acting very strange. when i hit Fn F3, it told me the first few times that i didnt have the authorization, or something to that affect, to choose power management plans, and then after hitting ok, it went to the power manager. now it's stopped giving me the initial warning, but has taken away previously saved power schemes as well as the ability to save new power schemes. it will make me think i'm making a new power scheme, and after i choose everything and hit apply/ok, and goes back to the main power manager window, my new scheme doesnt show. what is going on?!?!?
i've re enabled the Beep in the device manager, restarted a few times, no luck. ran registry mechanic, not that i expected it to, but no help. any ideas??? the issue is consistent whether i'm docked/AC power or running off battery.
thanks!

Greetings,
I too am experiencing a similar issue. Battery gauge is installed and showing up on the taskbar as it should. Problem is, that it is not showing a battery in the system. Windows sees the battery and its remaining charge but the maximizer does not. Furthermore when I click on the battery information selection in the maximizer gauge it tells me "This program cannot run on this system." Funny an IBM program will not run on an IBM machine. Never had this problem with my T30.

hi, i'm still having power manager issues,
i've uninstalled and reinstalled the lastest version of power manager driver, is there anything i can do? anyone? please help!?!?
my problems now are:
i can only select or create new power schemes with windows, not the thinkpad power manager.
when i use the power manager to try and change schemes or create new ones, it doesn't actually do it when i hit ok, apply, etc.
i set my power scheme in power manager to not dim the display when on battery power, but my display always dims when i unplug the AC.
it seems as though my machine is ignoring the power manager, and only using the windows power options. does this tend to happen when you've removed and re added the software, and/or the startup components related, like BLOG, the power manager background thing? are there any more?
i still get redundant battey meters in the system tray even though i try and tell it not to put the blue on there.
please help!

Take a look in this thread and see if it could be any help. This fix was for a T42 with Battery Maximizer instead of Power Manager, and perhaps the solution (but not the code) would be the same for a T60p. FTR, I have a T42.
