Display washes out in bright sunlight

Is there anything I can do? My T40's display washes out in bright sunlight either outdoors or in a room with lots of windows. I ended up throwing a coat over it and my head to see the display in my pickup yesterday.

There must be someting like this for a laptop, but you'll indeed end up needing a pickup to take all the stuff with you....
