Is there a T42 Quick Start PDF?

I'm about to hand off the refurb T42 that I bought for a friend. That's the 3rd Thinkpad I've bought, set up and handed off since September, leaving me with none. It ain't fair....

Anyways, since she knows nothing about laptops, let alone TPs, I was hoping to find a PDF version of the Quick Start card that must have came when it was new. Can't find one at Lenovo. Does such a thing exist?

Thanks. I'd already downloaded that along with the other available manuals at the Lenovo site. I was hoping to find a colorful, condensed 2-page guide, like the one that came with the T43. Something she could print out for speedy reference with lots of arrows pointing to the controls. Now that I think about it, the controls are the same as the T43, so I'll just make a color copy of the guide that came with that....

Never having owned a brand-new, from the factory TP, I can only guess at what is on the T42 quick-start guide. If it is anything like the one I got with my Gateway, I know what you mean (arrows and numbers and "internationally-recognized" symbols).

I don't know if a new TP comes with a quick start guide, but the Access IBM online User's Guide should answer the most common questions. You can also refer to this T42 overview.

My X60s came with one. Too bad Lenovo.com doesn't have PDFs of Quick Start guides. Dell.com does for most of their laptops.

I also found the Quick Start guide from the T43. I'll make a copy of that as well. That should do it.
