FS: Lenovo 1GB PC2-5300 SODIMM & 512MB PC2-4200 SODIMM
Lenovo 1GB Single Stick PC2-5300 SODIMM - FRU 40Y7734
Fresh pull from my 1 month old T60, only reason I am selling is because I bought 2 x 1GB of the Kingston KTL-TP667/1GB to run dual channel
This module uses Samsung chips and I am asking $90 shipped
Lenovo 512MB Single Stick PC2-4200 SODIMM - FRU 73P3843
Bought this stick back in October, opened but never used due to T43 been in repair and later upgraded to T60, manufactured date on the box is October, 2006
This module uses Nanya chips and I am asking $35 shipped
I have extensive feedbacks at heatware under sleepdragon

Did you realize that the OP couldn't answer your question? S/he went from 1x1GB to 2x1GB, so in addition to going from single channel to dual channel, s/he was also doubling the total amount of memory. With two things changed, it's impossible to tell which variable was responsible for any performance gain.mi2ke wrote:Thanks for ignoring me, thats not a nice business habbit.

Well, just like pianowizard said, I really can't tell you the performance gain I saw is the result of additional memory or dual channel.
I think the additional amount of memory helps more than dual channel as far as performance is concern.
However, if you are going to upgrade from 1GB single stick, you can either add another 512MB then get 1.5GB single channel or add another 2GB to get 2GB dual channel. For an extra $40 or so, I don't think it's a bad investment.
Especially if you run photo editing or software that eat lots of rams or IF YOU THINK YOU WILL UPGRADE TO VISTA...
