Video memory problem

#1 Post by mbaturo » Thu Jan 18, 2007 6:48 am

hello,

I did a test on my one month old T43P with PC Doctor 5, and I got a video memory error in the log. Do I have to do anything about it or is it just pc doctor issues with that hypermemory thing? The graphics applications I use run with no problems.

Could this be a PC Doctor issue still? I don't notice anything bad with video performance, or colors or any pixels being displayed bad.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The web page I linked to earlier seemed to contradict itself - compare Solution and Additional information.
Lenovo wrote:Solution
PC Doctor for Windows version 5.00.4329.01 resolves this issue.

This video memory test failure is actually an error in the PC Doctor for Windows diagnostic program. Please obtain the version linked above, or ignore this specific failure error code.

Additional information
Lenovo also suggests that you run PC Doctor for DOS to ensure that you do not have any video failures on your system while we resolve the PC Doctor for Windows test failure.
Try running DirectX diagnostics. Go to Start > Run, and type dxdiag in the text box, then click on OK.
