Running Double (dual) layer DVD's on T42

#1 Post by zamane » Thu Jan 18, 2007 12:29 pm

Hi. My T42 does not recognize double (or sometimes it is called dual) layer DVD's. Can I solve this by downloading a new driver for my internal DVD-drive? Is there a solution for this other than buying an external double-layer DVD-drive?

I have the following machine :

Product: ThinkPad T42 2379-R8U

Operating system: Windows XP

Original description: P M 745, 512MB RAM, 40GB 5400rpm HDD, 15 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 32MB ATI Radeon 7500, 24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b/g wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, Fingerprint Reader, 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro
