How to use the TV-out S-Video with my T21

Ok, with my windows 2000 installed it was able to access the s-video option, but when I installed windows xp, it does not give me the option, I tried a whole handful of different drivers with the same results. I found a small program which enables the connection, but after a couple of days it goes away and is unable to load again, (Unless I run windows restore).

This is really frustrating me!

You have to install Presentation Director, and run it once the cable has already been connected to the TV.

I use it on the T21 that I am typing on now.

On XP, once you have the TV cable connected once, you can go to CONTROL PANEL-DISPLAY-SETTINGS-ADVANCED-S3DUO VUE and you will see settings for CRT, LCD and TV.

THanks for your help, I think the presentation director is going to work, I need to test it on another s-video cable because the one I have is not doing a thing, the reason I know it will work, I have a dual boot system and win98 is running on a small partition (Dont ask) that OS runs the S3 Tweak program I wrote about and even that would not recognise the s-video display.

The presentation Director did not work, although it sure liked finding my external VGA port.

The display properties has no option for tv-out, its either the main display or the VGA Out, when I had the s3-tweak program running with the s-video display enabled, the display properties said the the first option was a dual display.

Its the S3 Savage IX, for my T21 2647 8AU, and I have tried many many many different drivers.

Ok ok I figured it out, somewhere on this forum was a link to an S3 driver page, I downloaded and installed the driver, turned off the laptop, plugged in the S-Video and just like magic, it found it.

Thank you all, it was like having something not work because you did not plug in the power, I bow my head and tip my hat.
