T30 memory slots

I've seen a few T30 adds on eBay that specify only one memory slot is functional.

Is there a common problem with T30s or is this just coincidence?

Try using "t30 memory slot problem" in the Search screen. Click on "Search for all terms" option and restrict search to the T2x/T30 conference.

You will find it's an old issue. One that IBM acknowledged for a little while by replacing motherboards out of warranty (I believe). Anyway, the full story is somewhere in those posts.
