tpfancontrol and Vista

#1 Post by budspencer » Sat Jan 20, 2007 1:04 pm

Hi! Has anyone successfully tried to run the tpfancontrol program as a service on a Win Vista system? And.... are there any problems while running it?

Just installed Vista on my T43 - it's too noisy

Cheers

Hi! No good news from me, unfortunately. TpFanControl does not work well with Vista on my T60. The computer freezes at times with distorted screen. Typically, it happens when inserting or removing the power jack.

This may be an interference with the ATI driver so if you have another graphics chipset you may still want to give it a try.

The service is running fine here with me, but the program window won't show.
Any tips to get that fixed?
