The noise, yes -- but the heat is supposed to be less than in 3.5" 15K drives. And that matters because it's a SAS drive, not SATA, so it'll be finding its way into blade servers and RAID arrays. I can't think of any laptops with SAS, so those would be totally out for the time being.

I think trustedreviews.com missed a key word from their article:

With SAS and 5.8W at idle, this is definitely not a mobile drive. Their reviewer amazingly does not seem to realize that ...
