Lots of New Drivers for T60 1.22.07

#1 Post by johnp126 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:22 pm

Power mgt driver and software, ultra nav, video (ati) although mine reported an error but worked, sound driver, help files also, bios a week or so ago 2.09 (you have to install via bootable cd as config not available yet).

All installed only problem with ATI install (did an install over the top and also tried removing previous verison both with same results)

The new driver seems to have big trouble with the CC. It simply doesn't start. instead an error message comes up, stating that the "command line version" (or something along that line) would have stopped working. This is on an freshly installed copy of Ultimate (RTM).
X200 Tablet (7449); SL 9400; 8 GB RAM; 128 GB SSD (OCZ Vertex 2E), WWAN. Previously: T60; 320 GB HDD / 3 GB RAM / T7200 / x1300 / Bluetooth. Nice machine.

Never use CC. When it comes to drivers, just remember that less is better.

Same problem as coolsilicon here. CC stops working right after reboot.

And if you check it out, the problem seems to be with the un-install, the actual program supposedly installs OK.

#9 Post by johnp126 » Tue Jan 23, 2007 7:20 pm

my ATI control center did not start automatically, it required running CCC and then configuring it, after that it started and ran ok so far

The reason why I wanted to have the CC is that the AVIVO video converter thing - to my best knowledge - depends on the CC as an interface to access it. Under XP I've found the converter to work very fast.
