How to understand IBM's model numbering system?

#1 Post by borgit » Sun Sep 12, 2004 10:25 pm

Like for example, the 2373 GVU comes with an IBM wireless nic. What if i wanted to change that to an Intel wireless nick and add more ram, how would i do that? And what would the model number be?

Just look here:

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... tabook.pdf

The 2373GRU is just like the 2373GVU except it has the Intel 802.11b/g adapter and adds DVD-R Multi-Burner.
