How long should it normally take to get an LCD cover?

How long should it normally take to get an LCD cover?

I was having problems with my LCD case flexing when I opened and shut the screen, so I sent it into the depot for repair. They received it Jan. 19th, and as of right now, they do not know when the cover will come in.

Should it take this long? Are these parts in scarce availability? Any input would be appreciated.
T60 (2007-01U) 2.0 ghz Core Duo, 1 gig ram, 80 gig 5400 rpm hard drive, dvd burner, a/b/g wireless, bluetooth,
X1300 with 64mb ram, 14.1" xga

They don't know when it will come in? That sounds strange to me. Why wouldn't they have parts for currently manufactured machines?
