A20m External SMA Connector Install (Emb Pics)

I should have documented this as well as I did the internal antenna install a bit ago.

I installed an SMA connector type antenna into the side of the A20m. It looks odd sticking out the front, but it gives a great signal boost.

Wow I cant believe you can do that?! so its possible though to install an internal wifi device?

Nice! I did the same thing a couple of months ago to a 600X. I still have plans on doing a couple of more (see .sig). Complete details at:

As long as there's a MiniPCI connector in your system and enough space to mount an RP-SMA connector and you're willing to rip apart your system, it's very possible

*nods* If you take your time and read the FRU manual while taking it apart, it is a snap to disassemble and reassemble.
