How to change model number?

Hi

Lenovo replaced my Motherboard and my machine is healthy again
the only issue is when i use ThinkVantage System Update i receive the message Machine type and model unknown picture in the link

before posting this thread i searched in the forums and found that if i go to bios update and chose update model it will do the job i tried but i could not succeed my model is 2007-VFE i need your help please.

You will need to make a trip down to IBM/Lenovo and tell the engineers there to change the model number for you.

I am not able to change the model number myself other than going to IBM/Lenovo and tell them to do it for me.
