I received a new Z61p this week and installed all of the windows and system updates (including the latest BIOS). I was transferring files between my old T43 and the Z61p, which at that point had the same desktop background, and could not help but notice the stark difference in the colors. The T43 colors were much more vibrant and its display looked considerably better. In comparison, the Z61p looks faded and the color looks washed out. I copied the color management profile from the T43 to the Z61p and that seemed to help quite a bit, but the difference is still disturbing.
Also, at times the display will jitter back and forth, which will also cause the mouse to jump around on the screen and render it unusable. I have not been able to determine what triggers this behavior and I don't know that it is consistent enough to call Lenovo and be able to troubleshoot it. I get a similar behavior in the screen when using the trackpoint to scroll up and down in my internet browser. Other times, most of the screen will be fine, but certain colors displayed on the screen will have fuzzy lines running through them.
Any thoughts?
