redy to clone, I think

#1 Post by winslow » Sat Jan 27, 2007 9:54 pm

My new hard drives arrived now I need to install/replace my existing drive. I will be using the ultrabay HDD adapter to clone the original drive.I downloaded the acronis cloning software but have a couple questions before I start my adventure.

1. Do I need to unhide the hidden partitions so they will be cloned too (then rehide them later)? Or do I just clone and forget about the hidden service partition.

2. I need to format the new drive, but do I also assign it a drive letter and volume label (C system) or will the cloning software do that when it clones the drive?

thanks in advance for your help.

When I did my wife's machine with Acronis, it did everything for me. I didn't do anything to the service partition or anything. It was really simple.
