Having aproblem with the t30 screens

powering up the laptop and nothing shows on screen. is this repairable or is it useless?
TP 600E 2645-55u PII/300mhz/128MB/ 6gb.
TP T20 PIII 700mhz/364mb/12gb

Check first with an external monitor if the laptop boots up normally.
If not, take the keyboard and palmrest off, disconnect the LCD cable from the motherboard, reconnect the keyboard temporarily, and try booting up.
If it now goes, remove the screen bezel as well, and replace the LCD cable and the inverter with the EXACT same numbers, then try booting with the new LCD cable attached to the mobo (without external monitor).
If it does not boot, you can get good used LCD screens on eBay for around $100.- Make sure you get the correct XGA or SXGA+ version.
Just went through the same process myself.

PS: if you have a docking station, that works a bit simpler, using an external keyboard and mouse.
