T42 wireless problems

hello everyone,

just got my new T42 a few weeks ago w/ the IBM 11a/b/g wireless card. I've been using it at school for the past couple weeks, and have been noticing that I haven't been able to get particularly good wireless signals anywhere. i thought it could've just been certain areas, but i've tried about 5-10 places around campus, and so far i haven't been able to get anything better than a "good", but most of the times "low" or "very low" signal.

i doubt it's the school network (though it could be). has anyone else had any of these kinds of weak connection problems? anyone know any possible fixes?
