If you take this thing apart like I have, you'll see that the fan has no way of helping out the palm rest. The right palm side is closed off.

The mother board separates the top and bottom of the palm rest area so the vents at the bottom are not intakes but vents and useless.

Laptop CPU Fans never circulate air inside the laptop but grabs and release air in the same vent area on the left side of the laptop. It's closed off and just spins air in that same spot.

Is there any way to fix this?

Is there any room for a tiny fan on the bottom under the wifi card?

change to X61/s !!!

oops... mine X60s has been using for 9 months already.
gonna put it on sales and get a X61s. :lol:

yeah you can't keep chasing the upgrades unless you have money to burn. santa rosa will be obsolete in a few months with the newer chip. (forgot what it's called.)

btw, no room for fan at the bottom. I've been using a cheap usb wifi lan. works better than the built-in intel.
