Keyboard leaving marks on the LCD screen
Keyboard leaving marks on the LCD screen
Have anyone else experienced this problem? My T42's keyboard seems to leave marks on the LCD screen, which I can wipe off with a damp microfiber cloth. It is annoying, nonetheless. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Re: Keyboard leaving marks on the LCD screen
I posted this question a while back (Too lazy to search for it) and there seems to be a split here: some say that it doesn't leave a print, some say it does.haivu wrote:Have anyone else experienced this problem? Well, mine does and did - To fix the issue, I bought a piece of cloth from an eye glass shop - They have different sizes, so ask the biggest they have - You know the one you use to clean eye glasses? - Anyway, I cut it and shaped as to fit on top of the keyboard and I put it on every time my machine goes in my bag.
Now, the screen looks like new everytime I use it...

I remember reading the post from a while back and was just about to start searching for it, when I ran across this one. My T41 gets alot of use and is just starting to get the grossness on the screen. I have quite a few eyeglass cloths at home. Guess I'll stick a couple together and leave them in the bag. good suggestion.

Thank you atlacatl
It's comfort to know that I am not the only one who experience this problem. I'll get a piece of glass-cleaning cloth as soon as possible. After posting, I also relized that my bag could be a problem, too: It's a backpack-style bag and when I put it in my tiny trunk, I have to lay it down instead of standing right up because of the lack of vertical room. That means the laptop lays flat with all the other stuff (books, ...) on top of it. This does not help at all. My solution is either getting a new bag (expensive) or to leave the bag inside the card, upright (thief-prone), or to take the laptop out of the bag while in the trunk (hm...)
Which solution I chose, I don't think I can continue to leave tons of pressure on top of my laptop like that. Thanks atlacatl for your useful suggestion.
