T42 not recognized D-Link DBT-120 USB bluetooth adapter

My T42 (3VU) does not come with bluetooth, so I tried to use the D-Link DBT-120 revision B3 with it. The installation went smoothly without any problem. The problem arose when I plugged in the bluetooth adapter: the lights on the adapter shows that it receives power and is operational. However, the icon in the status bar says that there is no bluetooth adapter plugged in. Furthermore, when I tried to pair my laptop with other devices (a Sony-Ericcson T610, a BlueTake BT-500 mouse,) the Bluetooth Setup Wizard searched and searched, but never find my devices. Yes, I know how to pair up devices, I have tried the same adapter on my wife's T30 and it worked beautifully. Yes, I have uninstalled completely and re-install for the third time using the latest setup program from D-Link's website. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
