How to reformate and reinstall preinstalled XP on Z61m?

#1 Post by havrancek » Sat Feb 03, 2007 6:38 am

Hi,

I bougth Z61m a week ago and already catched some backdoor, my system is slow as hell..
The story goes like this:
1. I finished preinstalled XP
2. I created three partitions (+ system partition, 4,5 Gb)
3. After restart it began to post some message about corrupted profile and always started with default one (everytime I lost every changes I made) .. so i created another profile, copy my old one there and it works..
4. Then I got that backdoor - my system is very slow, need a reistall
but what to do??

I disabled security chip (left it for another moment), and when i enter recovery (by thinkvantage button in boot sequence) it asks me for a password and everything I insert, it give me message i need to set a password and then come back.. in safe mode i tried to set it, but no luck (because of disabled chip???)
so now I dont know what to do, please help me...

Another questions, is it possible to burn that hidden partition to dvd? Is it the installation od XP? (will it works as bootable XP install CD?) Are there also all needed drivers? and preinstalled software?

thanx for help!
