Cannot enter R&R Disc needs to configure password?!
Hi!
I decided to test my rescue media today. I´m glad I did, because I can´t get it to work.
I have one CD and one DVD that I´ve made with the create rescue media option in productivity center.
After booting with the CD and loading for a while I get prompted for a password. I enter my windows/bios password (it´s the same). Then I get a message saying (translated from swedish) "I have to authenticate with a password. No password has been configured yet. Please configure a password first."
WHAT THIS?!
I have a windows password fer christ sake!
If I say I´ve forgotten my password it prompts me the password recovery questions. After answering these I get. "No password recovery questions have been configured"
Does anyone have a clue whats wrong here?
Thanks!

Since R&R did not work for me I´ve done an Acronis image of the C: drive + the hidden partion. Tested, it works.
Since I don´t need the recovery partion I´ve tried to get rid of it to no avail. I´ve uninstalled R&R and disabled the hidden partion in BIOS.
I can´t get the hidden partion to show up in explorer so I can delete it.
Do you know how to do this?

Right-click on My Computer and click Manage. Go to the Disk Management section and find your hard drive (usually Disk 0). You will see your main partition, C: and another partition called service or something (I'm not at my computer right now). You can right-click on the service partition and hit delete to get rid of it. The problem with this is that you can't expand the C: partition without reformatting or using another tool (Like Partition Magic). I personally used an Ubuntu Live CD with gparted, but that's not really something for the novice user.

Can you really erase the ServiceV001 partition? I understand the BIOS needs a key stored in that partition to authenticate and activate the BIOS so that the computer can boot.
Thinkoad T60:
T7200 2 GHZ, 5400 RPM 100 GB, 1.5 GB PC2-5300 DDR 2 , 15" SXGA+ 1400 128MB IPF TFT (Flexview), Thinkpad 11a/b/g/n

Right clicking did not work for me as no delete command appers on the Rclick menu.Only help.
I managed to delete the partion with partion magic however. I then merged the unallocated space to my c: partion. YAY!
I´ve saved an Acronis Image of the computer that I did the day I recevied it. On this Image I havn´t yet created the lenovo recovery disc. I´m thinking that it would be good to have a set of working recovery disks no matter what.
How do I make sure that this time a password is configured so they are usable? Where do I set this password for the recovery discs?
