Access Connections and limited accounts

#1 Post by allan » Mon Feb 05, 2007 12:11 pm

I hope this is a TP question and not an XP one.

I set up a limited account just for web activities. I can connect (wireless router) as admin, then switch to limited user and all is fine. But I can't use Access Connections to connect from the limited account. Should I be able to?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Sorry for being a wetblanket. But i can say that access connection is a real headache to those who do not know how to control it.

I use microsoft wireless on all my thinkpads and even the guest account also got no problem hooking onto the internet.

I removed Access Connection. :-)

*Just my experience with AC and this post should NOT be treated as an advise.*

My suggestion ^

I now think it is a Windows issue, which seems typical - use a limited account to reduce the chance of having malicious programs written when on line - sure, because you can't log on.

Actually AC has been great otherwise. It is the first time I've ever had flawless bluetooth GPS connection, immediately every time.

I take it back. The limited account works fine from the Thinkvantage desktop icon, just not from the taskbar which I usually use.
