buying trough a store in new york

I'll be in new york city this easter, and I was thinking on buying a new x60s while there.

I was thinking on ordering the computer through a company with a store on manhattan, and just pick it up there. However, being from norway I'm not familiar with the quality of the different stores. In norway a little local familiarity will teach you some stores are pariah. How about new york city?

I have bought from J & R Music and Computer World several times without a problem. IMO, the large chain stores such as Staples, Best Buy, Circuit City, and CompUSA should all give acceptable service. I do not have experience with any of the rest on that list.
