Help: Unknown Device in my T43, what is it?

Hi everyone,

I recently re-installed WinXP and most drivers on my T43 2686 DGU

The greyed out part in the other windows are the drivers/applications that I've installed. However, there is one unknown device missing its driver. Does anyone know which device is it?

Most likely the the TPM chip... Download the appropriate driver from Lenovo's site and install. The driver is essentially a "null" function driver unless another supporting software package is installed.

Or you can disable the security chip in the bios and it may go away.

It turned out to be Winbond Trusted Platform Module 1.1 like you suggested.
