Hi all.
I'm using a SanDisk CompactFlash PC Card Adapter to read my SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash 4GB in my T43p.
Unfortunately for some reason the speed is really slow. I checked on the device manager -> PCMCIA IDE/ATAPI Controller -> Advanced Settings and I found that the "Current transfer mode" is PIO!!!!!
I found these post (here, here and here) on similar matters, but they only refer to hard disks, not PCMCIA controllers and the solutions doesn't apply.
Do you have any clue how to go back to DMA mode?
Thank you,
alfonso
T43p: PCMCIA PC card reader only using PIO mode
Hi.
I got this message from SanDisk.

I got this message from SanDisk.
Thank you,Hello ,
Thank you for contacting SanDisk Technical Support.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
DMA mode is not supported by SanDisk on this card. In order to get a card that is you would have to get one specifically made for that. The Model number is STCFJ which you would have to get directly through a distributor. Any further questions on this matter can be directed to OEMsales@SanDisk.com.
If you should come upon any additional issues please feel free to correspond with me via eBox.
