That's more dependent on what kernel version they're using; however, unless your computer has relatively new hardware, you should find everything you actually need is supported. In my experience, the only stuff that tends to be problematic are newer Intel wireless cards and prolly fingerprint reader support, should you care for that.

6.10 ran like hell on my T60 (when it did run). Most of the time it would not even boot into the OS.

6.06 runs like a champ however.

DistroWatch, ThinkWiki and this forum. Since there are so many offerings out there it's a toss up on the easy ones. *Hint if it's ranked high, it's easy to install and supports even your mothers panty hose. I'm not kidding.

To be further specific, nearly all of the popular distro's have modules and pkgs for Thinkpads. If they aren't available inside the distro then they can be found and compiled in. Stability is rampant in Linux. The cost will be the intended use of your T60, speed.

Try live cd's and then install the one your the most comfortable with.

Good luck and enjoy!!!!

Has anyone tried Feisty Fawn on a T60 yet? I'm having wireless issues with 6.10 (and start-up issues every now and then). I'm gonna do a clean install so it's not a big deal to try Feisty out.

April 19 is the final release date. I would wait till the final version is out to save headaches of re-installing again. Lets hope fiesty has better wireless support..
