FS: Thinkpad External Battery Charger

#1 Post by farna » Sun Feb 11, 2007 4:54 pm

I've got a spare IBM Options Thinkpad External Battery Charger (Part # 02K6499) new in the original IBM box, never used. Has attachments for 380, 385, 600, and 770 series batteries. Uses the original Thinkpad power adapter. I have an extra power adapter included with it, but don't have an extra power cord (thought I did, can't find it now!).

It will cost about $10 to send Parcel Post to anywhere in the US. I'd like to get $15, so total price is $25. Will send via Priority if you pay the extra. If overseas contact me for shipping costs first. I prefer PayPal, but will hold for a week if you want to send a money order.

First interested party to send me an e-mail (farna AT att.net) gets it! I posted this in the 3xx forum also.

Ext Charger still Avail? Suit 380XD series?

#3 Post by VK4AKP » Fri Mar 14, 2008 10:10 pm

Hi, I'm located in Australia and for a while now I have been looking for one of these external chargers to suit my Thinkpad 380XD laptops I have here.

Could you please look at the following information and confirm that this is what you have?

GENUINE

IBM THINKPAD 380/385/560/600/770 EXTERNAL BATTERY CHARGER KIT

IBM PART NUMBER : 02K6499

IBM FRU Part Number 02K6501

I have found these also on EBay but generally it's big companies asking ridiculous postal charges to ship to Australia.

If you are interested in helping me out by posting the items at actual cost or close to cost I think we can work something out.

I am also able to ring State side very cheaply so if you'd like to send me your number and suitable times to ring I can call you some time if you like.

Unfortunately I no longer have this item. It was the same kit, if that helps.

Start a new topic in the Marketplace and ask for one, maybe someone else will have a spare they can send you. It's not very heavy -- I think under two pounds. International Priority Mail for two pounds is $24 purchased on-line at www.usps.com, 6-10 days delivery time. Express Mail International is $30 delivered in 5 days. Global Express Guaranteed is $60, with 3 day delivery.

Many large companies use UPS or Fedex under contract. Their overseas prices may be more than USPS, especially if the contract company rarely sends overseas.
