tilt laptop backward -> cpu temp goes up to 100 C

#1 Post by wehugheog » Mon Feb 12, 2007 12:24 pm

Running 2 cores at full load atm.

When the T60p is laying flat, constant temperature about 74 Celcius.

If I tilt the laptop backwards (let's say towards the screen) and leave it at ~ 40 degree angle, the temperature rises very fast to about 100 C. Then I lay it flat, cuz seems too high..

Is this correct or just weird?

EDIT: 100 C

EDIT: tilting the laptop towards me, then it is ok, stays at 74 C

all depends where you sit your laptop, if you sit the laptop over the bed of course you'll increase your laptop temp because when you tilt it towards the screen like u said, you are blocking the heatsinc intake located beside the batt. compartment. (rear side)

if not sitted on a bed then this is a very strange situation then.
