#1 Post by kieran » Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:20 am

has anyone tried to upgrade the P3 possessor on their T22, i don't know if this is worth it or is it a real hassle.

It's possible but probably not worth the money or hassle. The highest speed CPU that will work is the 1ghz PIII with 256kb L2 cache which will only be a significant upgrade for the 800mhz models.
ThinkPad T60: 2GHZ CD T2500, 3gb RAM, 14.1" XGA, 60gb 7k100, Win 7 Ult
Latitude E7250: i5 5300U 2.3ghz, 12gb RAM, 12" 1080p touch, 256gb SSD, Win 10

hello

if you go to 1gig then make sure you have the later type cooler,i found going from 800 to 1 gig well worth the work, it is over 20% more cpu , maybe worth looking at the harddrive you have ,also memory , to make it fully worthwhile, but you cannot improve the onboard graphics , that will become your limiting factor.
