Wireless capable

#1 Post by Boricua65 » Wed Feb 14, 2007 2:46 am

I've got an A31 that is wireless capable. I am wondering if this will work for my Thinkpad.

If your A31 is wireless capable, have you checked to see if you already have the cables wrapped up in a loop in the Mini-PCI slot?

Also, is your A31 actually a 2652-Q32? I am not finding that in IBM/Lenovo's database.

Like Steve said, the antenna lead are probably there. Check the sides of your lid to see if there's a place near the top (when open) where there's some transluscent plastic with a ribbed surface. If that is present, there should be antenna leads somewhere.

Oops, it should read 2652-Q3U (to tfflivemb2)

I bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

to install the wireless antenna.

Ok, I was going to suggest getting a different LCD cover....make sure that the cover comes with the bezel. I just found out on the T2x series, that the Wifi capable covers are slightly larger than the non-Wifi covers, so the old bezel doesn't fit.

Also, you might want to update your signature to include the correct model number.

Profile updated.

The seller of the LCD cover had the P/N of 96P2623, so it should fit the A31.
