vredir.vxd files and others missing??? on TP 600

I have just reinstalled 98SE in my TP 600 2645510 and I have a few question marks in device manager. One is against " standard dual pci ide controller" and the other is against " other devices...unknown device" Also I tried to load the drivers for my Safecom pcmcia wifi card and it asked for the 98SE disc and then could not find the drivers. Since then it is also throwing up VREDIR.VXDand DFS.VXD files missing as well as MSNP32.dll missing. can anyone help with these probs??
