Wifi Signal 95% in XP and only 60% in Vista
Any reason that my laptop running Vista now is getting a signal of only 60% when 10 feet from the same Linksys router i have been using with the same T60p when it was running XP Pro? T60p has the 3945 card installed. Any help?

Seems like a lot of us are having that same issue. Haven't found any solutions so far. What I find funny is that access points reporting very low signal strengths jump to 60% once connected. For the time being I'm just ignoring the reported signal strength and going by how the wireless connection is performing.
I do not get this problem with pcmcia wireless cards so I suspect it's an Intel driver issue. No surprises there

Re: Wifi
No surprises there as the problem does not appear related to power management.stephenaron wrote:I created a new power profile, and did waht you said under advanced. Nothing changed.
